 Meet your host, Denny Farrell - Big Band Hall of Fame Inductee, "Chicago's Very Own" veteran big band broadcaster and host of The Original Big Band Showcase.
The Original Big Band Showcase features the music of the big bands of the 1930s, 40s, 50s and the great big bands of today. Denny has a long history of broadcasting in this distinctive, big band and jazz format.
As a program director and on-air personality in Chicago, Denny is rated as one of the top broadcasters in this format. Farrell brings to his broadcasts an understanding of, and affection for this great music. Denny was honored with the National Ballroom & Entertainment Associations "2001 Award of Excellence" for his radio program, The Original Big Band Showcase. Denny Farrell (one of only three announcers ever honored), was inducted into the Big Band Hall of Fame on February 5, 2003 in West Palm Beach, Florida.
As of 2006, Denny has been named the Radio Voice of the Sun Valley Swing & Dixie Jazz Jamboree which takes place in Sun Valley, Idaho. please join us in October won't you?
