| Fibber McGee and Molly want to throw a big party to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary, but when many guests reply that they cannot attend, they cancel the party and decide to go on a second honeymoon instead. They decide to go back to the resort where they spent their first honeymoon, but it has fallen into a decrepit state. They decide to check out of their room after only one night and go over to the much more classy Silvertip Lodge. Meanwhile, many other characters are also converging on the lodge. Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy are setting up camp on the lodge grounds so that Bergen can pursue the rare Bombex Morai butterfly for his collection. Abigail Uppington is at the hotel as leader of the Wistful Vista chapter of the Girl Guides, who are having a convention there. Gildersleeve is there to assist his sister Jean, who is the leader of the Ironton chapter of the Girl Guides, which has a rivalry with the Wistful Vista chapter. Also staying there is Molly's old boyfriend Otis Cadwallader. With all of these people to impress, Fibber accepts the desk clerk's offer of the bridal suite, which is really out of his price range. 76 minutes.
Bonus #1: The July 5, 1937 broadcast of the radio series “Fibber McGee and Molly.” In this rarely-heard episode, Fibber and Molly have finished filming “This Way, Please” and are ready to return to Wistful Vista, but Fibber has to figure out a way to break the lease on their apartment. 30 minutes.
Bonus #2: The October 6, 1959 broadcast of the television sitcom “Fibber McGee and Molly” starring Bob Sweeney and Cathy Lewis. In this episode, Fibber is upset that he hasn’t been selected to organize the big annual dance at the Lodge, so he volunteers his help as a way to get it run they way he would have done it. 26 minutes.
