Our first feature has been arguably McCoy's finest sound film and by many one of the best Westerns produced in the 1930s. As Captain Travers, in "End of the Trail", McCoy is framed by Major Jenkins (Wheeler Oakman) and kicked out of the army for selling weapons to the Indians. Travers, now living with the Indians, proves to be the soldiers only chance for survival when he is captured by Jenkins. In the second feature, "Lightning Bill Carson Rides Again", McCoy poses as a Mexican to get in with a gang when his nephew Paul (Bob Terry) is accused of murder. This leads to trouble when evidence is found of his masquerade at Katherine's ranch. |
