In the first, the boys run into a feud between rival cattle owners. In the second feature, The Three Mesquiteers stop a gang of rustlers, thus helping Orphans and The Cattleman's Association.

I sat down to enjoy an old B-Western movie the other day and was really impressed with this new double feature release from VCI. The Three Mesquiteers (1936), stars Ray "Crash" Corrigan, Robert Livingston and Syd Saylor, and Roarin' Lead (1937), stars Max Terhune replacing Saylor. There were several personnel changes in the trio for the Three Mesquiteers series over the years, but the most popular trio was Corrigan, Livingston & Terhune. Still, both of these films are very enjoyable, and the series is one of the best trio series from the B-Western era. Both films look great in DVD, and the price is very reasonable.
