Specially designed for the nostalgic sports fanatic, this 10-film set includes:

THE JACKIE ROBINSON STORY (1950): This biographical film stars the baseball legend himself in a dramatic story about the player who integrated major league ball. The story begins with Jackie Robinson's early years, profiling the successful young athlete who excelled in various collegiate sports. It then follows him to his momentous meeting with Branch Rickey of the no less legendary Brooklyn Dodgers who brought Robinson in as a professional player to the previously all-white sport.

Cast: Jackie Robinson

THE JOE LOUIS STORY (1953): A serviceable, if stilted, biopic about the eponymous hero in boxing and racial equality, who became heavyweight champ in the '30s despite overwhelming prejudice and Max Schmelling. Real-life boxer Coley Wallace brings a boxer's authenticity to his portrayal of Joe Louis.

Cast: Coley Wallace, Ossie Davis

COUNTY FAIR (1949): A group of gangsters sabotage the horse race at the county fair, and one young jockey has to pay the price.

Cast: Rory Calhoun, Jane Nigh, Florence Bates

THE BIG WHEEL (1949): The ambitious son of an accomplished race driver struggles to outrun his father's legacy and achieve his own successes.

Cast: Mickey Rooney

THE GREAT DAN PATCH (1949): Taking liberty with some of the facts, THE GREAT DAN PATCH nonetheless offers a stirring biographical account of one of the greatest racehorses of all time. Raised by farmer Dan Palmer (Henry Hull) in turn-of-the-19th-century Indiana, standardbred pacer Dan Patch is nurtured into greatness by Palmer's son David (Dennis O'Keefe), a young chemist who has returned to his rural hometown to marry schoolteacher Ruth Treadwell (Ruth Warrick). As Dan Patch begins winning race after race and setting multiple records for speed, David finds himself pursuing his own dreams of happiness by abandoning marriage to snobbish Ruth and falling in love with the horse trainer's daughter, Cissy Lathrop (Gail Russell).

Cast: Dennis O'Keefe, Gail Russell, Henry Hull, Ruth Warwick

KID MONK BARONI (1952): Teenage tough Paul Baroni (Nimoy, in his first major screen role) has a face only a mother could love, but his mean left hook makes him a natural born boxer, as his parish priest discovers after putting the kid in the ring to keep him off the streets. A sleazy manager takes him to the big time, but he quickly forgets the lessons he learned back in his old neighborhood.

Cast: Bruce Cabot, Leonard Nimoy, Richard Rober

THE BASKETBALL FIX (1951): Gambling compromises some basketball heroes in this sports

Cast: John Ireland

RACING BLOOD (1954): A jockey saves his favorite horse from the glue factory.

Cast: Frankie Darro

BLONDE COMET (1941): A female race car driver races to save her dad's tire company.

SPIRIT OF YOUTH (1938): A movie that featues boxing champion Joe Louis in a starring role, SPIRIT OF YOUTH is a touching tale of a young boxer trying to make a career out of the sport. It's Louis who plays the up-and-coming star, Joe Thomas, who has an unfortunate brush with the corrupt side of the game on his way to the top. Luckily friends and a former sweetheart are around to set him straight, with Thomas quickly realizing that the boxing world is tough both in and out of the ring.

Cast: Joe Louis, Joe Thomas, Edna Mae Harris
