| This collection presents the World Premiere Film that started it all, plus the first six, 1 hour episodes of TV's nostalgic series, Iroinside.
Ironside - World Premiere (03/28/1967): After starring in the 1950s classic PERRY MASON, legendary actor Raymond Burr created another indelible character with the 1960s television drama IRONSIDE. Paralyzed by a sniper's bullet and confined to a wheelchair, San Francisco police detective Robert Ironside (Burr) continued to bring down bad guys with the help of a tricked-out van and a crack team of assistants that included rookie sergeant Ed Brown (Don Galloway), beautiful policewoman Eve Whitfield (Barbara Anderson), and reformed criminal Mark Sanger (Don Mitchell). Smart and suspenseful, the series distinguished itself with its disabled protagonist, a multicultural cast, an indelible theme song by composer Quincy Jones, and time-capsule plotlines that tackled '60s topics like hippies and civil rights.
Message from Beyond (09/14/1967): A security guard is implicated in the theft of $175,000 from a horse-racing track. Even after the suspect dies in a car crash, Ironside is sure he left clues about where to find the money - and who ordered him to steal it.
The Leaf in the Forest (09/21/1967): The smothering death of an elderly woman is blamed on an at-large serial killer, but Ironside notices enough differences in this case to see if a second murderer was trying to give that impression.
Dead Man's Tale (09/28/1967): Ironside stage-manages an elaborate ruse to bring mob kingpin John Trask to justice. Hiding the fact that a gangster who'd planned to turn state's evidence has been murdered, Ironside leads Trask to believe that the dead witness is still alive and really to spill everything.
Eat, Drink and Be Buried (10/05/1967): A fabulously successful advice columnist escapes serious injury from abduction, poisoning, and gunshots. Ironside sets out to find the person responsible for the writer's brushes with death.
The Taker (10/12/1967): Circumstantial evidence suggests that a murdered cop was supplementing his income as a blackmailer. Chief Ironside (Raymond Burr), an old friend of the dead man, is determined to prove otherwise. In the course of his investigation, Ironside reopens an unsolved homicide case in which the deceased officer's girlfriend Adrienne May (Jan Shepard) was a key player.
An Inside Job (10/19/1967): Ironside and Eve are held hostage at police headquarters by escaping criminals Carter and Baines. The criminals give Ironside a way to survive, He must become a "criminal" and come up with a plan for them to escape.
