| This Two-Pack DVD Set contains episodes of some of the greatest TV shows that were produced during the 1950s and 1960s. A great many of these episodes have not been shown on TV for as long as two to three decades. Enjoy and have fun with these great television episodes that come to life on this special DVD package.
Combat (1962): Broadcast from 1962 through 1967, starring Vic Morrow and Rick Jason. Combat depicted the exploits of the U.S. Army platoon fighting its way across Europe during World War II, following D-Day.
Episode: Mail Call
Sea Hunt (1958): Mike Nelson is a Scuba Diver in the days when it was still very new. He works alone and the plot was always mostly carried through his voice over narrations. These gave the show a flavor of a radio program. Typical adventures were finding a downed satellite or sunken treasure.
Episode: Mark of the Octopus
Fury (1955): Starring Peter Graves, William Hudson and Bobby diamond. Set in the American West of the 1950s the series begins with rancher Jim Newton adopting a city orphan named Joey and introducing him to the West. Joey takes on the job of breaking Jim’s black stallion, which Joey names Fury.
Episodes: Joey Finds a Friend * The Search for Joey * Joey’s Father
Alfred Hitchcock Presents (1955): Master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock presents several short stories. The stories are invariably surprising, often containing elements of horror, comedy, suspense, and the supernatural
Episodes: The Sorceror's Apprentice * The Cheney Vase
Mannix (1967): One of the most violent detective series in TV history, "Mannix" tells the weekly adventures of private eye Joe Mannix, who originally worked for a high-concept computerized firm known as Intersect, but later opened his own agency at 17 Paseo Verde, Los Angeles, California. Peggy Fair was his black secretary, who was frequently kidnapped. Lots of shootings, car chases, fights, and crashes.
Episodes: The Name Is Mannix * Skid Marks On A Dry Run
Peter Gunn (1958): Filmed in a film noir atmosphere and featuring Henry Mancini music that could tell you the action with your eyes closed, Peter Gunn worked in style. Known as Pete to his friends and simply as Gunn to his enemies, he did his job in a calm cool way. He got his tips and cautions from Lieutenant Jacoby, a coffee drinking pal from the police. Also providing tips was "Mother" of her self-titled nightclub. Working at the nightclub as a singer was Edie Hart, his girlfriend.
Episodes: Let’s Kill Timothy * The Fuse
Wagon Train (1957): Stories of the journeys of a wagon train as it leaves post-Civil War Missouri on its way to California through the plains, deserts and Rocky Mountains. The first treks were led by gruff, but good-at-heart Major Seth Adams, backed up by his competent frontier scout, Flint McCullough. After Adams and McCullough, the wagon train was led by the avuncular Christopher Hale along with new scouts Duke Shannon and Cooper Smith. Many stories featured the trustworthy assistant wagonmaster Bill Hawks, grizzled old cook Charlie Wooster and a young orphan, Barnaby West.
Episode: Alias Bill Hawks
