Boyd Magers is the most knowledgeable Western film historian I know, but I had no idea he would be able to put together such a fascinating, comprehensive, fact-filled book on Autry's films. He's included bios and anecdotes on many of the actors, from sidekicks to leading ladies, bad guys to character actors, directors and screen writers. All of the songs in each film are listed, and there's even a section listing the singing groups that appeared in his films. All Gene's TV shows are also listed with cast, dates, etc. And photos abound, many of them rare. An absolute must for Autry fans!
