| Sam Lanin was perhaps the most prolific bandleader to make records in the 1920s, with well over a thousand to his name. At times, his various bands included such sidemen as Glenn Miller, Benny Goodman, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, Red Nichols, and others. This CD contains over two dozen of Lanin's hottest sides--most never before on CD--freshly remastered for superior sound. As usual, a full booklet is included, packed with notes, photographs, and complete discographical information for the included records.
