Carol O'Shaughnessy - The Way I See It (CD)

Dubbed “Boston’s First Lady of Cabaret,” Carol O'Shaughnessy has earned the city’s “Cabaret Entertainer of the Year” award for appearances at Jordan Hall, Club Cabaret, Regattabar and Scullers. Her latest show, Rind-A-Ding-Ding: Songs of the Rat Pack, debuted to a sold-out crowd at Scullers, and she was recently awarded the 2003 IRNE Award for Best Female Cabaret Artist. Her show Stuff In The Box: Provincetown, The Early Years at Club Cafe was named one of Bay Window’s Top 10 Best Cabaret Shows for 2001. Carol has appeared with Joan Rivers, with David Brenner, and on television’s “Chronicle” as part of their “My Boston” show. Carol’s two CDs, The Way I See It and Live At Scullers have received rave reviews. Last spring O'Shaughnessy returned to theater to portray Matron Mama Morton in the Worcester Foothills Theatre production of Chicago. She has performed with colleague Jan Peters in That’s Entertainment: The Music of Liza and Judy at Raphael’s in Quincy, and will re-team with Peters at the same venue for Gotta Get Gershwin. “Carol has an innate ability to deliver a song with the best of them.
